Frequently Asked Questions

What services does 3H Construction offer?

We handle land clearing, excavation and grading, site work and site preparation, house pad construction, pond construction, demolition, gravel driveways, culvert installation, and pipe fencing. If a project involves moving dirt or building on raw land, there’s a good chance we do it.

We’re based in Richards, Texas in Grimes County. We serve a wide area across Central and Southeast Texas — including Huntsville, Bryan, College Station, Navasota, Caldwell, Brenham, Madisonville, Tomball, Spring, The Woodlands, and the Houston metro area. If you’re not sure whether we reach you, just call and ask.

Yes. We offer free estimates on all projects. We prefer to come out to the property and look at what you’ve got before quoting, because the condition of the land and the scope of work affect the cost. A phone call can get the conversation started.

You can call or text us at (979) 571-8110. You can also fill out our contact form and we’ll follow up with you. Business hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 6 PM.

Both. We work with private landowners who are building homes, putting in ponds, clearing their land, and everything in between. We also work with property developers who need reliable dirt work on a larger scale. The size of the job doesn’t determine whether we take it on — what matters is that it’s work we do well.

Call us or fill out the contact form with a brief description of your project and your location. We’ll follow up to get any additional details and schedule a time to come out to the property. After the walkthrough, we’ll give you a clear picture of what the job involves and what it would cost.

Pricing is based on the scope of work — the size of the area, the type of work, the terrain, the soil conditions, and the equipment required. That’s why we like to see the property before quoting. It gives you an accurate number rather than a rough guess.

We regularly work throughout Grimes, Walker, Brazos, Burleson, Montgomery, Waller, and surrounding counties. For larger jobs, we’ve traveled further — including to the Dallas and Houston metropolitan areas. Give us a call and tell us where you are and what you’ve got, and we’ll let you know whether it makes sense.

Yes. We serve the greater Houston area including Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, and surrounding communities. Houston proper doesn’t have much demand for excavation-type work, but many Houston-area buyers own land in Grimes County and the surrounding region, and we work with those clients regularly.
